Today I had an additional blood draw to see if the extra days of Neupogen stopped the dropping numbers. They did, with an incremental improvement in the counts, so I am hopeful that now I will enter the “no shot zone” of the calendar. This should give the body’s tissues a time to regroup and rest before the next round of chemotherapy which begins in ten days. Over the weekend we did the math and determined that it was highly unlikely that the immune system would come up to a place where a long trip by air to Russia would be an acceptable activity, so with great reluctance, we took the initial steps to cancel our trip there with the Abendmusik Chorus. We immediately began to direct our energies to a family get-together in the Colorado mountains instead; this way the summer will not be a time of loss, but rather a diversion – another time, we say, and Moscow and St. Petersburg will be still there for our viewing.

Colorado will be a CELEBRATION! We must find a cabin with a
well equipped kitchen which can hold eleven cooks. Camper’s
Stew, Dad’s Waffles, Pizza, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Popcorn over
a fire. Star gazing. Singing. Picnics by a waterfall. Toasted
Marshmallows!

Love love love

Dearest Connie…
In an email reply from Charles today, I learned of your situation. I am stunned and the tears are falling down my cheeks as I write to you.

Yet we know the One + who fails to be stunned by anything…and this week we are especially reminded of the trials and suffering He endured on our behalf.

Our church choir is singing “Father the Time Has Come” once again this year. Parts I-IV for Good Friday and Part V for Ascension…The music and text are so engraved on our hearts and minds, and I thank you, Connie, for your incredible sensitivity to the texts chosen from the Gospels, and the great portion you added at the end.

“Be patient and be ready, Be ready as you wait;
Be patient and be ready as you wait for the day.”

May Yahweh-Rophe our LORD the Healer be with you and give you His patience, His strength and His peace.

Awaiting His Easter Day,

Carol (Schroeder) McDaniel

Hear! Hear!

A celebration it will be – perhaps with borscht, potatos, vodka, caviar, cabbage, pickles, and bad russian accents – maybe a dancing bear too!

I’ll bet we can get someone to hassle us about our paperwork or check our passports and go through the luggage!

As far as the Chorus – we are a chorus unto ourselves singing a new song

Dear Connie,
We read your thoughts and can hear your voice. The testimony of your faith shines through brilliantly. In this Easter time we join you from the other side of the globe to shout “He is risen!” We hear your reply, “He is risen indeed!”
Perhpas you have seen this web site and more you have perhaps seen it in reality.

With much love and affection,
Dottie and Ray
